Vivo dropped the V50 phone in the Indian market pretty recently and now the company is prepping up to launch the V50 Lite globally as well. In a recent development, it has been revealed that the smartphone has visited multiple certification websites like NBTC (Thailand), SIRIM (Malaysia), and FCC (USA). According to the FCC listing, the smartphone will carry model number V2440 and it will also support 2G, 3G, 4G, as well as 5G connectivity. The smartphone will also bring dual-band WiFi, NFC support, along with Bluetooth.
Vivo V50 Lite expected specifications and features
The Vivo V50 Lite will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor coupled with 12GB RAM. It will operate on the Android 15 operating system. The smartphone comes with a 6.78-inch AMOLED display coupled with a 120Hz refresh rate and FHD+ resolution. It will also have curved edges along with a punch-hole cutout for the placement of the front sensor.
The Vivo V50 Lite 5G is confirmed to house a 6500mAh battery along with a better charging capacity. Until now, there has been no official confirmation regarding the launch date of the smartphones. Furthermore, the details related to sensors are also under wraps. Speculations are that we will get to know more about the device once Vivo announces something officially.
Now, considering that the Vivo V50 is available in the Indian market at a price of Rs 34,999 for the 8GB RAM variant 256GB internal storage. We may get to see the Vivo V50 Lite entering the Indian market under the price bracket of Rs 30,000.
Despite being a watered down version of Vivo V50, the V50 Lite could offer decent performance and give tough competition to other competitors in the same price range. It will be interesting to see how the Indian audience reacts to the Vivo V50 Lite, keeping in mind the competition from Nothing, Realme, OnePlus, and more in the same price range.
